Mr. Gunter Olbrich is the President of G. A. International Electronics , a marine electronic systems sales and service company for shipping companies, cruise line companies and commercial shipyards. Mr. Olbrich possesses over 30 years of experience in both marine communications and navigation electronics. Mr. Olbrich began his career in 1976 at DEBEG, Deutsche Betriebsgesellschaft fuer drahtlose Telegraphy in Hamburg, Germany, where he held various positions within Field Engineering Operations. During his tenure, he was responsible for providing service for cargo ships and supporting special communications projects throughout the world. In 1982, he accepted a promotional opportunity and immigrated to the United States. In 1983 he established G. A. International Electronics in Staten Island, New York. Later , in 1994, to address expanding cruise ship and container fleet industries he relocated his headquarters to Miami Florida. Under Mr. Olbrich’s leadership G. A. International expanded the business with an additional office in Alaska in 1997, followed by offices in California and Texas, and finally Washington State in 2006. In 1981 Mr. Olbrich was certified Master Craftsman (Meisterbrief) in Electromechanics at the Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Small Businesses Handwerkskammer Oldenburg, Germany.
